Description
West Cottage is a small house dating from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. It is built of rendered rubble and features a thatched roof with a brick chimney. The house has a two-unit plan and is one storey plus attics. The original front has two windows and a central doorway that is sheltered by a 20th-century porch. To the right of the doorway is a two-light casement window, and on the first floor, there are two dormer windows, each with two lights. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and extends over a similar 20th-century bay on the right. The chimney stack is positioned to the right of the original range, and there are additional 20th-century extensions to the right side of the house. The rear features two-light casement windows and dormers. Inside, there are chamfered beams.
