Description
Mulberry Court is a substantial house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and features an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a T-plan and has been extended, standing two storeys plus attics.
The garden front, which has five windows, was altered, likely in the early 18th century. It includes pairs of sash windows flanking the blocked remains of a stair window, three gabled roof dormers, and stacks positioned at the centre and gables. To the left, a 19th-century roughcast wing projects from the main structure. The rear wing features the current entrance on the right, with ovolo-moulded stone mullioned windows of two and three lights. To the left, there is an infilled area from a 19th-century range. The gables are adorned with moulded parapets, scroll kneelers, and obelisk finials.
While the interior has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest, particularly noted for its Tudor fireplaces.
