Description
This is a mid-17th century house, later divided into two dwellings, with 19th-century additions to the left. The house is constructed of timber framing with brick infill on the right side, though the ground floor of the right end is of uncoursed squared stone. The left side is red brick with random, flared headers. The 19th-century additions have old plain-tile roofs, while the original section has a thatched, half-hipped roof. There is a brick end stack with a 20th-century rebuilt top on the left, and brick ridge stacks located to the left and right of the centre. The house is of single-storey and attic design, with a four-window front. Plank doors are situated to the left and right of the centre. The windows are leaded casements: a two-light casement on the right side, a four-light casement centrally right, an angled bay with a hipped roof centrally left, a six-light casement to the left, and a swept dormer to the left. Two gabled dormers are positioned centrally. The interior has not been inspected. The group value of this building relates to its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
