Description

Bridge End Cottage is a 17th-century house with alterations from the 18th century. It is located on the north side of High Street, Clifton Hampden. The house is largely timber-framed, with rendered panels to the right and render, likely on timber framing, to the left. It has a thatched, half-hipped roof and a brick ridge stack in the centre. The plan is of two units, incorporating an outshut. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and has a two-window range facing away from the street. A two-light leaded casement window is on the left, and a three-light leaded casement is on the right. At the right end, facing the street, there is a plank door to the left, with an open timber-framed porch. To the right of the door is a three-light casement window with a segmental brick head. A 20th-century window is in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
