Description

54 High Street is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a stone uncoursed rubble plinth and red brick construction, topped with an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range. To the right, there is a 20th-century six-panel door with a segmental brick head. The left side has 19th-century six-pane horned sash windows on both the ground and first floors, while the right side has a 19th-century four-pane horned sash window on the first floor. At the rear, there is a cross-wing that faces Priest End, which has a brick plinth and large timber-framing with rendered infill, along with a 17th-century brick end stack on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
