Description

Sonning Bridge, located on the north side of Thames Street in Sonning, is a road bridge built between 1780 and 1790. It was sketched in 1792 by Samuel Ireland. The bridge is constructed of brick and features a plain parapet. In the center, there is a large arch flanked by a flat brick band and pilasters. On the Oxfordshire side, there are four lower arches separated by cut-waters, and there are four similar arches on the Berkshire side.
