Description
Mill House is a house, incorrectly marked on the Ordnance Survey map as Aberlash House. It likely features an early 19th-century front attached to a late 18th-century structure. The building is constructed of Bath stone ashlar with a plain tile roof and brick stacks. It has two storeys and a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door flanked by sidelights and an over-light. A square-plan porch with paired Roman Doric columns supports a balcony that has a pierced stone balustrade. On the ground floor, there are 12-pane sash windows on each side, each with moulded stone surrounds and triangular pediments on brackets above. The first floor features three 12-pane sashes with moulded stone surrounds and brackets beneath the sills. The roof has a balustrade, and there is a half-circular bow window on the left-hand return. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
