Description
Shirburn Farm barn, located approximately 18 meters north of the farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features weatherboarding over a light timber frame set on a flint and brick base, with a half-hipped roof that has old tiles on the right side and 20th-century tiles on the left. The barn has a 7-bay plan and includes two threshing floors. The front of the barn has two porches, each with half-hipped roofs, and there are plank double doors. At the rear, there is an early 19th-century wheelhouse topped with a Welsh slate roof. Inside, the barn boasts a 7-bay queen-post roof with clasped purlins.
