Description
Knapp Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 17th century and was remodeled and extended in the mid-19th century. The right gable features rectangular timber framing, while the rest of the front is covered in mid-19th century colourwashed brick, with the left gable wall clad in tiles. The building has a gabled roof covered with old tiles, a brick stack at the left end, and a large ridge stack. It has an L-shaped plan with a right wing and consists of one storey and an attic, with a four-window range. There are flat brick arches over a 20th-century door and 19th-century sash windows, along with two 20th-century dormers. The right gable wall includes a 20th-century door and two-light casements. A mid-19th century extension at the rear creates a double-depth plan. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
