Description

The Swell Memorial, located approximately 20 metres east of the Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a moulded base and lid. The sides are panelled and there are rectangular corner balusters. The inscriptions on the tomb commemorate Henry and Elizabeth Swell and their daughter Ann, who died in 1776, though they are only partly legible.
