Description
The stable block, now part of a school, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone-slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has seven bays, with a central tall arched carriage entrance and lower entrances with wooden lintels in the outer bays, all of which are now infilled. The windows are six-pane sashes with stone flat arches and projecting keyblocks. The roof is shallow-pitched and hipped. The rear has a similar blocked archway and additional sashes. A short hip-roofed rear wing projects from the left end. The interior has not been inspected. A rubble wall connects the stable block to the manor house, and it is included for its group value.
