Description
The transfer shed, located approximately 420 meters northwest of Didcot Railway Station, dates from around 1840 and has undergone 20th-century alterations. It features a base made of 20th-century engineering brick, timber framing, and weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof that includes a ventilator at the ridge. The structure has two round-topped train arches at each end, with a lower round-topped arch in the center, and ventilating openings at the eaves. The roof is angle-braced. This shed was originally part of Brunel's buildings at Didcot Railway Station and was relocated to its current site around 1983.
