Description
The Bishop's Palace is a house likely dating from the early 17th century, with a wing possibly from the 16th century. It is constructed of timber framing with rendered infill, featuring a roof covered in old plain tiles, and a brick ridge stack positioned centrally. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window front. A plank door is set within a gabled porch in the centre of the building. The windows are irregular casements. The left side of the ground floor is jettied, with a cross-gable above at attic level. The roof has a queen post truss at the right gable end. The wing incorporates cruck construction internally.
