Description
Tudor Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with later additions. It features a rendered base, large timber framing with brick infill, and an old plain-tile roof topped with a brick ridge stack. The building has a 2-unit lobby-entry plan, with a later addition creating a T-shaped layout. On the left side, there is a two-storey, single-window cross wing, while to the right is a single-storey, single-window range. A 20th-century ribbed door is located to the right of centre, accompanied by a single-light leaded casement to the right. The cross wing on the left has 4-light wood leaded casements on both the ground and first floors, and there is a 2-light wood casement on the ground floor of the right return of the cross wing. The cross-gable to the left is covered with weatherboarding. Inside, the cottage is noted for having an open fireplace on the ground floor to the left and extensive beaming throughout.
