Description
The stable block at Swyncombe Park, built in the early 19th century, is constructed of header bond brick with red brick dressings and features an old tile roof with a brick end stack. This two-storey building has a five-bay range and includes a plank door set in a heavy frame with an overlight. The central plank loft door and the ground-floor two-light cross windows are topped with gauged brick flat arches, while the first-floor casements also have flat brick arches. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is hipped. Inside, there are 19th-century stalls and fittings supported by iron posts from the St. Pancras iron foundry in London. Additional features include a front left wall made of flint rubble with brick crossbanding and a brick wall at the rear left.
