Description
Wick Farmhouse's eastern gatepier and attached wall date from the 18th century. They are constructed of limestone ashlar and coursed rubble. The square gatepier features a Corinthian architrave and frieze, topped with the base of a finial. The adjoining wall has a moulded and carved coping that slopes downwards before rising to the pier, finishing with an acanthus console against the pier's entablature. The original cap of the gatepier, which has a modillion cornice, can still be seen in the farmyard. There is a matching gatepier and wall to the west.
