Description

Barton Manor is a house situated on Barton Village Road. The west elevation is a late 18th-century facade applied to a late 17th-century core. The house is constructed of ashlar, with a moulded eaves cornice, parapet, and a modern brown tiled roof. Three gabled attic dormers, which may be 17th century, are set into the roof, each containing a casement window. Four 18th-19th century sash windows are set within plain stone reveals on the west elevation. The east elevation, facing the road, has all windows blocked. This eastern front also features three gabled attic dormers, and an unusual stone-based chimney with a brick shaft. Inside, the north ground floor contains a late 17th-century staircase.
