Description

Wick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and coursed squared rubble, with an old plain-tile roof and brick and stone stacks. The building likely originally had a three-unit plan. The symmetrical five-window front features plank entrance doors to the left and right of a blocked central window, with a further blocked window to the extreme right and a two-light casement to the left. The first floor contains two-light casements flanking a blocked central window. A stone stack is located to the left of the centre, and a stone and brick stack to the left gable. A lower rubble and tiled range adjoins the main house to the left. The right gable wall has pairs of casements. The rear elevation has similar windows, and also incorporates brick buttresses. The building is said to have been a subsidiary range of a larger house that has since been demolished.
