Description

Lower Farm consists of shelter sheds that include a central loosebox and a 4-bay cartshed to the right. These structures date from the early to mid-18th century. They feature 20th-century weatherboarding on a base made of brick and flint, with braced posts supporting the open front. The loosebox is constructed from flint rubble with brick dressings, while the rear wall of the cartshed is made of Flemish bond brick with flared headers. The roof is gabled and covered with corrugated iron. Inside, the cartshed has a 4-bay queen-post roof with clasped purlins and braced and jowled posts. This building is included for its group value.
