Description
Cooper's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings, dating from the mid-18th century, with an additional bay added in the later mid-18th century. The front is constructed of Flemish bond brick with flared headers, set on a flint base, while the sides and rear are made of chalk uncoursed rubble with brick dressings. The roof is gabled, featuring both old and 20th-century tiles, with brick gable-end external stacks and an internal stack. The building has a three-unit plan with a rear right outshut and stands two storeys tall with a four-window range. There is a flat arch over a 19th-century four-panelled door, segmental arches above partly renewed three-light leaded casements, and flat arches over first-floor three-light and one one-light leaded casements. Leaded lights are present on the rear and left side wall, as well as in the rear gabled dormer. To the right, there are two 20th-century bays made of similar materials. Inside, a partial inspection has revealed timber partitions and chamfered beams.
