Description
Nos. 15 and 16 in Little Haseley is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a later extension from the 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with squared quoins, topped by a plain-tile roof and featuring brick stacks. It has a three-unit plan with an added parallel range at the rear. The house is two storeys high, plus attics, and has a four-window front. The entrance is located to the left of center, beneath a stone flat arch, and is flanked by three-light casements under brick flat arches. There is a blocked window above the door, with two smaller three-light casements to the right and one to the left. A brick eaves course runs along the top. There is a gable stack on the left and a lateral stack on the right behind the front range, with a second entrance located in the right gable wall. Inside, the house features heavy chamfered and stopped beams, a lateral inglenook fireplace with thin brick jambs, and a butt purlin roof. It likely originally had a through-passage plan.
