Description
Broadlands is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 17th century, with a front added in the 19th century. The building features red brick with random grey headers on the right side, and the left cross-wing is rendered, likely built on timber framing. It has an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The layout is L-shaped and it is two stories high with a four-window range, including a cross-wing to the left.
There is a six-panel door leading to a porch located at the angle of the cross-wing and the main range. On the right side, there are two three-light casement windows with segmental brick heads, and a two-light casement window is found on the first floor of the right return of the cross-wing. Above the porch, there is a blind rendered panel. To the right, there are two three-light casements with a single-light casement window positioned between them. A dentil course runs along the eaves. The roof is cross-gabled on the left and half-hipped on the right, with a ridge stack at the center and an end stack on the cross-wing. The right return and rear of the building feature timber framing with brick infill. The interior has not been inspected.
