Description
Hagbourne Mill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with a likely 16th-century cross-wing on the right and later alterations. The building features roughcast, possibly over timber framing, and has an old plain-tile complex roof with various brick stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic, consisting of a single-bay centre and a cross-wing to the right, along with a 19th-century cross-wing to the left. The centre has a panelled door and the windows display an irregular arrangement of casements and sashes. The rear showcases wood imitation rusticated stonework, likely also on timber framing. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams in some ground floor rooms and an ovolo-moulded spine beam in the hall. The roof includes queen-post construction in part.
