Description
Bromsden Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 18th century, with the main part built in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of flint and brick, featuring areas of render, with the main house in brick laid in Flemish bond with flared headers, and a tile roof with brick stacks. It has an L-shaped plan, with the main front facing south and a left-hand return front that includes a one-storey and attic wing from the early 18th century. This wing has two 20th-century dormers on its hipped roof, a door to the left, and two windows on the ground floor. The right side features a two-storey, two-window range from the 19th century, with a gable front and sash windows in all openings. Inside, the timber frame from the 18th-century wing remains, with some windbraces visible.
