Description
Bix Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings on the ground floor, while the first floor is timber-framed, and there is a rendered wing to the right. The roof is tiled, featuring brick ridge chimneys. The main front of the house is positioned at right angles to the street and consists of two storeys with a three-window range, along with a projecting two-storey wing to the right that was added in the 19th century. The roof is gabled.
On the first floor, there are three three-light casements, and the wing has a three-light casement as well. To the left, there is a 19th-century tiled, gabled timber-framed porch with a studded plank door. To the right, there are two rectangular bay windows beneath a continuous lean-to roof, which extends along the side of the wing. The ground floor of the wing also features a three-light casement. Inside, jowled wall posts are visible along the first-floor corridor.
