Description

The Cottage, adjoining Briela, is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed rubble with ashlar dressings and features an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical front has three windows and is accented by ashlar quoins and a first-floor sill band. A plank door is situated between three-light casements that are topped with massive stone lintels. At the first floor, similar casements flank a blind window, and there is a gable outshut to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
