Description

This is an 18th-century dovecote located approximately 40 meters northwest of Monkery Farmhouse. It is constructed from limestone rubble with brick dressings and features an old plain-tile roof. The dovecote has a square plan, with walls that include three-course brick quoins and a rendered eaves band. The entrance is marked by a brick segmental arch. The pyramidal roof is topped with a small tiled glover. Inside, the walls are lined with brick nesting boxes, and the roof has clasped purlins with ashlar pieces supporting all the rafters.
