Description

The Old Farmhouse is likely of mid-18th century origin. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and brick stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, with a three-window front. A central square porch features Doric columns supporting a flat roof. The front door is a six-panel design with a decorative fanlight. The ground and first floors have sixteen-pane sashes with pointed glazing bars to the top. Rendered brick bands define the levels between the ground and first floors, and the first and second floors. The second floor also has twelve-pane sashes. The roof is hipped and has lead ridges. The right return exhibits irregular fenestration. A 19th-century door surround is present on the left return, along with glazed doors and an overlight. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be of interest. A late 17th century single-storey wing is located to the rear.
