Description
Hazel Cottage and Vine Cottage are two houses located on the north side of Goring-on-Thames. Hazel Cottage dates from the 17th century, with an 18th-century front. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, features tile hanging on the cross-gable, and has a plain tile roof with brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a one-window range, with a three-light casement window on both the ground and first floors. The right side of the cottage showcases large timber framing with brick infill and has irregular fenestration. There is a 20th-century door leading to a 20th-century extension on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
To the left is a subsidiary cottage, likely from the 19th century, built of red brick with a plain tile roof that is hipped to the left. This cottage is also two storeys high and has a two-window range. It features a central plank door with a gabled hood, three-light casements with segmental heads on either side, and a single light casement to the right, along with two three-light casements on the first floor. The interior of this cottage has not been inspected either.
