Description
The Old Post House is a 17th-century house that was encased in 1777, as indicated by a date on the brickwork on the left side of the ground floor. It is constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings and features a plain tile hipped roof. The house has a lobby entry plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There are three 12-pane casements from the 20th century, along with two segmental-headed half-dormers that also have 12-pane casements from the 20th century. A 20th-century door is located on the right return. The eaves are adorned with a dentil cornice, and there are ridge stacks on the left and right returns. Inside, the original fireplaces can be found on the ground floor to the right, and there are chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops in the same area.
