Description
This is a small house and walled garden located approximately 200 meters southeast of Shotover Park. The building dates from the 18th century, with the cottage being extended in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features timber lintels, topped with an old plain-tile roof that has brick stacks. The layout consists of a two-unit lobby-entry plan and is extended. The front of the cottage is symmetrical with two windows, which have margin-light sashes, and includes a rustic porch. There is an additional bay on the right side with a small casement window. The roof has a ridge stack and a gable stack on the right. Surrounding the property, rubble walls with brick copings enclose a large kitchen garden. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
