Description

The bridge across the River Thames, located approximately 120 metres east of Sonning Mill, is a road bridge built between 1780 and 1790. It was sketched in 1792 by Samuel Ireland. The bridge is constructed of brick and features a plain parapet. In the centre, there is a large arch flanked by a flat brick band and pilasters. On the Oxfordshire side, there are four lower arches divided by cut-waters, and there are four similar arches on the Berkshire side.
