Description
This is a late 18th-century stable and front garden wall located at No. 24, Bridge End Close, Dorchester. The stable, positioned to the north of the main house, features a gable wall facing the road. This wall contains a plank doorway with a loft door situated above, both with segmental arches. The stable’s brickwork is predominantly in Flemish bond with flared brick headers, although the right-hand sidewall is constructed from red brick. The roof is half-hipped and covered with old plain tiles. Attached front garden walls, made of plain red brickwork, run between square piers and flank a wrought-iron entrance gate. The stable and wall are included on the list for their group value.
