Description
Church Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, possibly dating from an earlier period. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and features some timber lintels. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and there are brick stacks. The building has a 3-unit through-passage plan that has been extended to form an L-plan. It stands two storeys high.
The front of the farmhouse has a door located to the left of centre, flanked by three-light casements, all of which have brick segmental arches and flush keyblocks. There are two-light casements at the first floor on the extreme left and right. The gables and the right of centre feature stacks. To the right, there is a lower unit with a slated roof. A two-storey rear wing is located to the left and has small 18th-century casements along with a very tall brick gable stack. The interior has not been inspected.
