Description
Long Farm is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and timber lintels, topped with a plain-tile roof and rebuilt stone stacks. The building has a five-unit plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The front, which is irregular with five windows, features a 19th-century wooden porch with a half-hipped roof positioned between the right bays. The flanking windows on both the ground and first floors have ovolo-moulded lintels and large 12-pane casement lights, most of which have likely been replaced. Other windows are fitted with 20th-century casements, and some similar moulded lintels can be found at the rear. Inside, there are chamfered cross beams with elaborately-moulded stops, and the windows have similar chamfer stops on the lintels along with panelled shutters.
