Description
Nos 8 to 10 on Cornmarket Street are 18th-century buildings that are timber-framed and plastered. They stand three storeys tall with an attic, featuring modern shop fronts on the ground floor. The upper front is divided into bays by pilasters, with windows arranged in a pattern of 1-3-2-3-1. All the windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the central pair appears only on the first floor. The groups of three windows have pedimented heads on the central windows, also located only on the first floor. The building has a parapet and a slate mansard roof with dormers arranged in a pattern of 1-2-1-2-1. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 3, 5, and 8 to 10 on Cornmarket Street, as well as Nos 1 to 3 on High Street.
