Description

MERTON STREET 1. 1485 (North Side) No 18 SP 5106 SE 9/473 12.1.54. II GV 2. House on corner site. Probably C19. 3-storeyed stuccoed front with a moulded eaves cornice, 3 attic dormers in a mansard Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. There are bands at the 1st and 2nd floors. The 3 modern sash windows are in stuccoed reveals which have small grilles resting on stone cills. (For leases and tenants, see Oxford Hist Soc LXVI (1914) 237).

Nos 13 to 18 (consec) form a group.
