Description

Nos 7 and 9 on Banbury Road are a pair of three-storey buildings, built around 1855 by Samuel Lipscomb Seckham. They feature four windows with doorways that project on either side. The buildings are constructed of stucco and have horizontal rustication on the ground floor. The ground floor includes arched sash windows, while the first floor has French windows; No 9 also has a cast-iron balcony. The second floor contains two-light sash windows. Both buildings have arched doorways with architrave surrounds, panelled doors, and fanlights above. There are decorative bands at the first and second floor levels, bracketted eaves, and a hipped slate roof. Nos 7 to 21 (odd) form a group.
