Description
No. 21 Banbury Road is a building dated 1879, designed by Sir T G Jackson. It is a two-storey structure made of red brick, with red terra-cotta mouldings. The building features five first-floor sash windows, each with segmental keystoned architraves. Decorative moulded strings, an ornamental frieze, and six Corinthian pilasters enhance its façade. The roof is hipped and covered with red tiles, topped with a lantern and moulded brick end-chimney stacks. Originally serving as the Girls' High School, it is now part of the Nuclear Science Laboratories. Nos. 7 to 21 (odd) are recognized as a group.
