Description

Magdalen College School is a building dating from 1485, with significant alterations made between 1893 and 1895 by architect A W Blomfield. The design reflects the style of the 17th century and features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The structure consists of three storeys and attics, with a variety of window styles including two and three-light mullion and transom windows that have semi-circular pedimented heads. It also includes Venetian windows and a decorative door surround. A notable feature is the projecting staircase turret. The roof is gabled and covered with slate, topped by a cupola that houses a clock.
