Description
Nos. 275 and 277 Banbury Road are a pair of buildings dating from 1831. They were constructed by Mr C Brown, a wine merchant of Oxford, in an early 19th-century Gothic style. The buildings are built of ashlar and feature two gables and a castellated porch, all topped by a Welsh slate roof. The windows are stone mullioned, with two and three lights per window, and are set within moulded stone labels. Internal alterations were carried out in 1971. (See Oxoniensia XI and XII (1946-7), 157).
