Description

Trinity College's West Range, built in 1485, is located in the Durham Quadrangle. The hall and buttery were constructed between 1618 and 1620 in the Stuart Gothic style. They were ceiled and decorated in 1771, re-roofed in the 19th century, and had a chimney piece added in 1846. The north and south walls of the building partly date back to the 14th century. To the south of the hall, there is a room from 1665 that features panelling from 1681. The first-floor window on the east side contains stained glass from the 15th and 16th centuries.
