Description
Trinity College's South Range, built in 1485, is located in the Durham Quadrangle. The Palladian Chapel, featuring a west tower and gateway, was constructed between 1691 and 1694, based on designs attributed to Dean Aldrich with input from Wren. The chapel is made of Headington stone, although the tower and porch have been refaced in Bath stone. The roof was restored in 1932. Notable interior carvings were created by Jonathan Maine and Arthur Frogley, with carpentry work by George Smith.
