Description
Nos 7 and 8 on Oriel Street are early 18th-century houses that stand as a three-storeyed, plastered timber-framed building with cellars and attics. The ground floor features a continuous cornice with modillions and two door frames that are moulded in the 19th century. There are four sash windows set in moulded wood frames. At the top, two large attic dormers each contain six casement lights. Inside No 8, a first-floor room showcases 18th-century panelling. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 7 on the east part of Oriel Square and Nos 1 to 10 and No 12 on Oriel Street.
