Description
Nos 3 and 4 Oriel Street are a pair of houses dating from the early 18th century. They are three stories high and built with a timber frame that is covered in stucco. The buildings have cellars and feature six 18th-century sash windows on the first floor, which retain their original glazing bars, moulded wood frames, and cornices. In the roof, there are two attic windows, each with four casement lights. The doorway of No 4 is accessed by four steps that are set at right angles to the facade, and it has a door frame with a rectangular fanlight that includes four traceried lights. The interior features an original staircase. These houses are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 7 Oriel Square and Nos 1 to 10 Oriel Street, along with No 12 Oriel Street.
