Description
Salfords and Lincoln's Inn are two houses dating from the 17th century, constructed of coursed ironstone rubble. The roof is partly covered with Welsh slate, 20th-century tiles, and stone slates. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and feature three brick stacks—one at the right end and two on the ridge to the left.
The first floor has four three-light casement windows with chamfered lintels, although the casement on the right is now blocked. The ground floor has three three-light casement windows, and there is a blocked doorway and window to the right of a two-storey stair turret projection, which has a gabled slated roof and a two-light casement with a wooden lintel. The entrance on the left is covered by a 20th-century hood. The interior has not been inspected.
Michael Johnson rebuilt Salfords in the 18th century, and it is noted to have been known as Salfords in 1545.
