Description
Manor Cottage and the attached outbuilding is a small house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed marlstone rubble and features a plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit central-stair plan and stands two storeys high. The front facade has a regular arrangement of two windows and a central doorway that is sheltered by a 20th-century porch. Both floors have 2-light casements, with the lower windows featuring segmental arches. The outbuilding to the right includes a doorway and a window that also have similar arches. At the rear of the house, there are additional casements, some of which have been altered, and remnants of an earlier stair window can still be seen. Inside, there is a large blocked fireplace and stop-chamfered beams. The property is included for its group value.
