Description

This outbuilding, likely used as stables, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a Stonesfield-slate roof with a brick gable stack. The building is a single range, consisting of one storey plus a loft. The side facing the road has one small opening and a large loft door. The garden side includes a stable door, a loft door, and two large 20th-century openings fitted with garage doors. Inside, the roof trusses have tiebeams and collars, supporting butt purlins. This structure is included for its group value.
