Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features timber framing with brick infill and colourwashed limestone rubble, topped with a plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building has a two-unit lobby-entry plan that has been extended to three and then four units. It is one storey plus an attic.
The three-window timber-framed section has a doorway located to the right of centre, which is sheltered by a large 20th-century timber-framed porch. The flanking bays contain 17th-century 3-light casements, while the bay on the extreme left is partly rebuilt or extended and has lighter framing. The earlier panels display a lozenge patterning in flared headers. The roof features three gabled 3-light dormers and has old clustered stacks aligned with the entrance, along with a gable stack to the left. The rubble bay to the right has a similar dormer and a gable stack, and it has a slightly lower roof. The interior has not been inspected.
