Description

This is a group of two chest tombs from the 18th century, located approximately 4.5 and 5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Etheldreda in Horley. The tombs are made of ironstone. The nearest tomb to the south aisle features simple, heavy detailing and is inscribed to Michael Harding, with panelled walls and a heavy ledger slab. The second tomb has plain, tall walls, but no visible inscription.
